JAPANESE FACIAL MASSAGE
Japanese
Facial Massage was developed to improve one's health and
longevity emphasizing the prevention of problems rather than
curing the existing ones. It also improves one's beauty, removes
toxins from the face, and balances ki, or life force, to improve
overall health.
Recent surveys show that women in the U.S. spend an average of
360 hours per year in front of the cosmetic mirror - almost an
hour a day. People desire to improve their most characteristic
feature - it is a way of improving self image.
The
aim of Japanese Facial Massage is unique. While Western methods
address the external skin itself, Japanese facial massage is
concerned with the condition of skin, subcutaneous musculature,
and what is referred to as ki, or the life force energy, often
translated as "bioelectricity."
Japanese facial massage has 3 stages: Cleansing, Moisturizing,
and Energizing.
Japanese massage begins with a complete neck massage and
finishes with a soothing scalp massage.
